Narration by Claire Jacobs.
Luke wrote an amazing story. A baby, a star, angels, shepherds, overwhelmed parents, throw in three wise men on a long journey with gifts and some very tired camels. A good story to read on a cold winter night with a gentle fire. We read many stories like that, and when they end, we're usually, well, moving on, done. That's not this story. The baby grows up and shakes up the known world of the first century. Come to think of it, he's still changing the world. You see, this story is different. You have to do something with this story. You can't walk away. You have to connect your story with his story. Christmas actually means the mission of the Christ. His mission was you. He came for you. All of us angels longed to see what was going to happen, and now we still long to see what will happen in your life. Yes, they will move on from Bethlehem, but this story never ends. It can't because there's a place for us to live together forever. And the baby, I mean the grown-up baby Jesus, is taking us there. It's like a sequel, but that's another story. Merry Christmas. Don't forget to sign on for the mission.
